Cleantech 2 EdtechLAUSD is proud to partner with Cal Tech, the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator, LADWP, and Southern California Edison to implement "Cleantech 2 Edtech: LA schools save energy as students and startups implement cleantech innovations". This Pilot Initiative was awarded $100,000 by the 2016 LA2050 Grant Program.
Cleantech 2 Edtech is a collaboration for exploring new clean energy and water technologies and piloting them at LAUSD facilities. The program will offer complementary education and internship opportunities for high school students interested in learning more. Cleantech 2 Edtech consists of three program elements.
Cleantech 2 Edtech will allow LAUSD to reach our mandated energy efficiency goals more quickly, while creating an interactive and creative learning environment for students. Enhancing opportunities for cleantech companies in Los Angeles will mean high-quality, better paying jobs, including underserved communities. This will also help provide a skilled workforce and idea pipeline for the already growing cleantech community in the region. |
