What You Can DoHelp Support the District's Sustainability GoalsStudents, teachers, and School-based administrators play a crucial part in the helping LA Unified achieve our sustainability goals. Even something simple, like posting "Last Out/Lights Out" signage at light switches, can have an impact in lowering our energy bills and reducing our carbon emissions.

Green Your CampusOne of the most impactful things a school can do is to add a campus garden or outdoor classroom space. LA Unified has programs and works with many partners to assist schools in greening their campuses.

Work With Our PartnersThere are many organizations throughout Southern California and beyond who are excited to partner with LA Unified schools, including assisting schools in establishing gardens, offering curriculum and professional development, and providing funding through grants.
Save the DropLos Angeles is in its fourth year of severe drought, and despite the rain being delivered by El Nino, we still rely on imported water for 85% of what we use. We're asking schools to be mindful of their water usage and join the campaign to Save the Drop!
Sustainable School LiaisonsDo you want to help us make the District more sustainable? Sustainable School Liaisons are teachers or supervised students who promote District sustainability initiatives, inform and engage the school community, and encourage conservation behavior.
